Caravan is UC Berkeley's singular travel magazine — and one of the few college publications that give staffers the opportunity each semester to travel as a group to one destination for a weekend. The club’s team of writers, photographers, and designers work together afterwards to publish and print a 60-page magazine, containing thoughtful articles exploring the unique character of that issue’s featured location.
I was an associate designer with Caravan for two semesters. For the California Road Trip Issue, my design team members and I worked on revamping the visual identity of the magazine on top of designing article layouts and assembling the entire issue.
For the Las Vegas Issue, I continued working as a designer while taking on the additional role of co-editor-in-chief. My partner and I worked with all creative departments to ideate articles and approve of location pitches, coordinate semesterly travel, assist in drafting and refining, and ensure a cohesive and high-quality final product.
